Raising the Roof on God’s Business

Alleluia Ministries International (AMI) Lyndhurst is a massive success. With services resulting in traffic jams and a rapidly expanding campus, you would thing that there are plenty of blessings for those who practice their faith at the church.
That all literally came crashing down on Wednesday morning when extensions at the church collapsed. Thank God, no one was hurt or injured in the accident.
Further investigation revealed a whole host of unholy activity from the men of God at AMI- building without approval, ignoring two stop orders for construction by the City of Johannesburg and sending workers into a construction site, after a collapse without the approval of a building inspector or labour inspector.
This is coupled with allegations of bribery and intimidation of neighbours who complained about the noise from church and its illegal construction. This falls far off the loving of one’s neighbour the church was tasked with.
Now the City of Joburg has to resort to getting a court order to protect the church from its building. This will not go down with believers wanting to liaise with their maker on a Sunday morning.
The long suffering neighbours are enjoying the tranquillity and praying that peace continues. As for the believers, there are many who should be grateful they did not meet their maker in the church.
