Protect children’s rights for a better society

Government is continuing its call for South Africans to take an active role in efforts to try and make the country better. Officials from various departments say although work is continuing to ensure better service delivery throughout the country -communities should also lend a hand.
This call is in line with President Cyril Ramaphosa’s Thuma Mina campaign which encourages citizens to assist government where they can.
The campaign encourages people to get involved in their local communities and in democracy at all levels. The department of Public Service and Administration believes that special focus needs to be placed on the protection of children’s rights if the country is to be effective.
