Music has a way of healing. Filling the void, there are some days you need the beat and some when the lyrics are therapeutic. We recently lost one of the most empowering female artists, Aretha Franklin was a force to be reckoned with.

 

Never intending to be a catalyst for the women’s movements, Aretha’s songs RESPECT and Natural Woman became anthems of affirmations for millions of women throughout the world. To this day, the powerful messages in her songs resonates with the feminist masses.
