[ICYMI] – Jazzy Soul on the Kaya Central #Awesome4some
As one of the sub-genres in Jazz, SOUL-JAZZ gained momentum in the early 1960’s. What can be described as a groove-oriented style built from the bottom up, soul-jazz usually begins with the bass player: You take a strong bass line, establish a steady groove between the bass and drums, and then embellish that groove with riffs and melody lines that draw heavily from gospel, blues and R&B.
The following 4 artists are featured on the #Awesome4some this afternoon:
Jimmy Sommers feat. Vikter Duplaix
Kirk Whalum feat. Musiq Soulchild
Boney James feat. Dwele
Jeff Bradshaw feat. Glenn Lewis
