SANDF crash under investigation
Free State traffic authorities say they will not be drawn into speculation about what may have caused the bus crash which killed 11 SANDF members
Authorities have asked for patience while experts conduct their investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash
Eleven women died when the bus they were travelling in rolled down an embankment on the R712 in the Golden Gate Highlands National Park near Clarens
Defense Minister, Nosiviwe Mapisa Nqakula says the deaths are the highest number of women they’ve lost in one incident.
Free State police, roads, and transport MEC Butana Komphela says an investigation is still underway.
“We have specialist that we are working with in the RTMC, those are the people that are looking at what could have been the problem.
“If it is a human error they will tell us, if there was a break or sharp bend they will be able to tell us,” he said.
