KAYA FMs GOOD MORNING GAUTENG HOST SPECIAL 12 HOUR BROADCAST TO GARNER MORE SUPPORT FOR BAFANA BAFANA

Kaya FM’s support for Bafana Bafana reaches fever pitch today (Friday 11 June) with a marathon 12-hour uninterrupted radio broadcast with the Good Morning Gauteng Team. Set-up in the Newtown Public Viewing Area (PVA) GMG will kick-off at 6am until the final whistle blows at 6pm.

Sponsored by ABSA the broadcast will be packed with celebrity and soccer legends such as Neil Tovey, Clive Barker, Jomo Sono, Francois Pienaar, Theo Kgosinkwe and Judith Sephuma.

Kaya FM presenters T Bose (The Best T in the City 09h00 – 12h00, Georgie ( Georgie in the afternoon 12h00 – 15h00) and Jeff Moloi (Heading Home 15h00 – 18h00) will also be featured throughout the day as guest presenters.

Station Manager, Lyndon Johnstone, says this day is not about JUST soccer. “It will be packed with activities for everyone. You don’t have to love soccer to be a part of the vibe which is sweeping the nation,” says Johnstone.

Activities will include the Diski Dancers and a special soccer challenge with the GMG hosts Kgomotso Matsunyane and Ndumiso Ngcobo.

Matsunyane says they’re up to the challenge. “We are so pumped up and want every South African to feel the excitement and be a part of it,” says Matsunyane.

The broadcast will also do its bit for Charity. Every hour, Kaya FM will be giving away a thousand rand to a lucky listener, as well as a total of R36 000,00 to Charity.

The Newtown PVA, at the Mary Fitzgerald Square, is equipped with big screens, exhibitions and a beer tent.

It’s a home game for Africa – Kaya FM home of the fan.
