Petroleum strike ends
Petroleum workers union – CEPPWAWU – has called off its three work long strike action.
The union and the National Petroleum Employers’ Association have entered into a two year agreement.
The workers will get a 7% increase in the first year – and in the second year they will get the value of the April consumer price inflation plus a 1.5% increase.
Ceppwawu’s Clement Chitja has urged the workers to go back to work – starting today.
