Petrol price goes down
Good news for motorists from this morning.
The price of petrol has dropped to just below R12 a litre.
A litre of unleaded petrol is down by 18 cents a litre to cost R11.99 cents.
While the price of diesel dropped by 48 cents a litre and paraffin by 47 cents a litre.
However, the Automobile Association’s Layton Beard says the price adjustments are less than they had predicted.
Beard told KayaNews that we are likely to see an increase in the price of petrol in the October adjustment as the currency weakened over the past couple of weeks.
This is on the news of the arrest of Finance minister Pravin Gordhan.
The Finance minister refused to appear in front of the Hawks to give a warning statement relating to his involvement in the “so-called rogue unit established when he was commissioner at SARS.
The unit was set up to investigate the elite, who were dodging tax.
