More units added to the grid
Power utility Eskom is keeping true to its word and providing un- interrupted electricity supply to the people of this country.
Last night Eskom connected Unit 5 at the Medupi power station to produce more electricity.
The synchronisation of Unit 5 is the second of the power station’s six units to come on stream.
Once completed, Medupi will be the fourth largest coal-fired power plant and the largest dry-cooled power station in the world.
The utility says Unit 5 will help further stabilize the system.

Earlier in the week, Eskom announced that they were able to collect revenue of about R39 million, especially from the townships.
