Kaya FM is excited to introduce and welcome our new presenters who will be hosting shows across the stations On Air shows Tebogo “Proverb” Thekiso, Bridget Masinga, Thomas Msengana and Kojo Baffoe. Sunday’s will see Thabo Mokwele present the best of soul music on his new show Touch of Soul 2-6 pm.
Kaya FM Top 40 – 10am-2pm
The “Kaya FM Top 40” which airs every Saturday between 10h00 and 14h00, will be hosted by Proverb who has built his on-air profile at Kaya FM with guest appearances across various daytime shows. The show will take a different approach to the traditional countdowns exploring, unearthing and capturing musical narratives influenced by Proverbs experience and insight in music. Winner of the “Hustler of the Year Award” at the South African Hip Hop Awards 2015.
The late show with Bridget 9pm-11pm Monday – Wednesday and Sunday 10pm-12pm
Bridget Masinga has always been one to challenge her own comfort and broaden her horizons in her pursuit of growth and black excellence. Having started her career as a Miss South Africa second runner up she has worked in television as a presenter for All Access, a radio presenter for five years at youth radio station YFM and presenter and producer of Jacaranda FM’s weekday mid-morning 9 am – 12pm show, The Work zone.
Thomas evolved from speaking to the youth of Gauteng to host the biggest breakfast show on Metro FM. He left the regional youth station in 2006 to join the ranks of Glen Lewis and Bob Mabena at the national adult station, Metro FM. There he hosted the mid-day show for just one year and was promoted to host the breakfast show until 2009. Until recently he hosted the 5FM weekend breakfast show. Thomas will be on air Friday’s 7pm-10pm and Saturday 6pm -10pm.
The host of Best T in the City will add the new Touch of Soul Sunday music show from 2pm- 6pm to his on-air portfolio. The show will be a presentation of Soul, Lounge, Gospel classic RnB and contemporary songs from the continent of Africa and the world.
Kojo Baffoe is an entrepreneur, writer, facilitator, content architect, former Destiny Man magazine editor and speaker, who has worked and run businesses in a range of sectors including Retail, Management Consulting, Publishing, Events, IT and Media (Television & Print). Kojo will be hosting an in-depth talk show due to broadcast from October 2016.
