There is something so genuine about sibling music groups, it’s not always easy to merge the family into a car to take a road-trip so to have siblings start a music group & create something unique and audible is quite a feat. We have shared sibling duo groups previously on the Kaya Central #Awesome4some but this afternoon we’re taking things up a notch by bringing you sibling music groups as the common theme. There are a number that spring to mind,one of the most popular and iconic groups under this banner would have to be “The Jacksons” but how can we forget – THE BRAXTONS?
Before the sister siblings reunited for the reality TV show, they were all set to become Atlantic Records’ promising newcomers. Church-reared and with a choir singing background behind them, their first album release in 1990 didn’t do too well on the charts and ranked at a low 79 on the billboard R&B charts. This is probably the reason many are only familiar with Toni Braxton, who then went on to launch her solo music career with hits: Un-break my heart, He wasn’t man enough, Spanish Guitar, How could an angel break my heart and the list goes on…
