Get Over the Long Weekend Hangover
Good news: it’s not Tuesday today!
We are willing to bet, however, that today you feel like you are living through the longest work week of your life. Sure, the weekend – a regular, two-day one, you sigh – is right around the corner but it feels like you have been awake forever. Even Wednesday, your trusted “hump day” that traditionally brings a smile to your face, has let you down. Today, it ceased being the glorious day that serves to remind you that the weekend is on the horizon. Instead it feels like only the second day of a long sentence.
If any of the above applies to your situation, we regret to inform you, you are definitely suffering from long weekend hangover. You wish all the days were sprinkled with the magic that only a long weekend can bring. It seems as if all the magic is all gone.
But fear not! We have a tried and tested remedy that will make your long weekend hangover a thing of the past. That is, until the next long weekend comes around and throws everything off balance again. Admit it, you still think the long weekend hangover you are currently living through, and all the disruptions to your life future long weekends will bring, are all worth it.
Step away from the coffee machine. It’s your umpteenth cup and you know it won’t do anything to improve your mood or the longing in your heart. You know it will only make your more aware and even more agitated. What you need today, to keep the “it’s not Tuesday but the day actually feels like you have live through a week of Mondays repeatedly” blues away is the trusted Kaya mix of remedies.
It has become a cliché but there is something to laughter being good medicine. There is nobody on radio who is funnier than 180 with Bob resident comedian, Skhumba. For your first dose of the Kaya feel-good remedy we recommend watching Skhumba’s video features on 180 with Bob.
To start you off, here is the most-watched Skhumba live on Kaya FM video from our Youtube channel.
Admit it, this video has you feeling just a little better about the long gone weekend. It has you looking forward to possibilities again. Possibilities such as this Friday’s 180 with Bob, perhaps?
Take a history lesson and laugh some more
Wait, we aren’t done just yet. Late last year, T Bose, Mr Best T in the City himself, hosted two good friends for “My Top 10 at 10”: Somizi and Unathi. They were both at the time new colleagues on Idols the Mnet singing competition, , and they came to the Kaya studio and had a big fat chat with T about everything from the South African entertainment industry and talent shows to music legends. Watch the video below
Somizi choreographed the opening ceremony for the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Durban. Watch the video on the Best T in the City Facebook page here.
