Emeritus Desmond Tutu to undergo minor surgery
Anglican archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu is expected to undergo surgery today.
The Tutu family says he will undergo a minor surgical procedure – to address the root cause of a recurring infection
The archbishop was admitted to hospital last month.
Tutu’s family says he has so far been responding well to his treatment – and they have emphasized that the minor surgery is not related to the prostate cancer he’s been living with for two decades.
Tutu was admitted earlier in the year treating an infection.
