Drug affected kids still at safe house – #IAmClean

The five children who were rescued form their own home in Eldorado Park, south of Joburg last week will soon be placed with family.
Their dug addicted mother was set to be charged with gross neglect after the area’s community policing forum forcefully took the children away. The pleading pregnant woman managed to escape custody that night but safe- house founder and community worker Liesl Valoo says she will be placed in the Department of Social Development’s parent programme.
“The children are still at the safe- house but they will be placed with family and their mother has been placed into the department’s parenting programme,” she said.
Kaya FM news joined the rescue operation as part of our week dedicated to the country’s drug problem.
