Letta Mbulu was born and raised in Soweto. As a teenager she toured to England with the musical ‘King Kong’. On returning to an apartheid ridden country she was forced to leave for the United States in 1965. Here her destiny would begin and she made friends with fellow South Africans in exile including Miriam Makeba, Hugh Masekela and Jonas Gwangwa. read more

Born Stevland Hardaway Judkins in Michigan, Stevie Wonder followed his musical interests from a tender age. He went blind after birth as a result of receiving too much oxygen in the incubator as a premature baby, Stevie showed an early gift for music as a church choir member at four years old and later with a bevy of instruments, including the harmonica, piano, and drums. He taught himself to play all these instruments before the age of ten years.
