ANC in lock out meeting

The ANC’s national executives go into a four-day lock out today.
The party will likely analyse its performance in the local government elections and strategically map out its coalition aspirations.
Speculation is rife that the party is considering calls for a re-run in the hung metros.
The ANC is set to lose control of a number of key metros which include Tshwane, Johannesburg and Nelson Mandela Bay.
Political analyst Prince Mashele believes a DA-EFF Coalition Government in Johannesburg and Tshwane would be good for service delivery.
“There are people who raised concerns that the DA and EFF don’t see eye to eye ideologically, but my response to that is that local government has got nothing to do with ideology it’s about service delivery.
“If the two parties can deliver the best services to Johannesburg and Tshwane then that’s what voters want.
