Advise for Busisiwe Mkhwenane
The EFF has advised the incoming Public Protector Advocate Busisiwe Mkhwebane not to be captured by politicians.
Party deputy president Floyd Shivambo has called on Mkhwebane to serve with integrity and never sell her soul to politics because post 2019, the country’s political landscape would have changed.
Mkhwebane was selected from over 60 nominees.
Yesterday 263 Members of Parliament endorsed Mkhwebane during a debate in the National Assembly.
A total of 79 MPs voted against it, while 1 abstained.
It is now up to President Jacob Zuma to approve Mkhwebane as the country’s next Public Protector.
Political Parties expressed mixed views on her nomination.
The Democratic Alliance has decried the appointment calling Mkhwebane a spy.
Shivambo however says as the EFF they have faith in her.
Advocate Thuli Madonsela’s term comes to an end in October.
