A preview into the Playstation 4 Pro – #Tech180
Sony PlayStation 4 Pro Preview
Early Christmas list, I know, it’s far too early, however looking at what is ahead, it may not be early enough to start saving. Sony PlayStation 4 Pro is set to be released in November 2016, stock availability is still unclear, however the more powerful PS4 pro would seem to be worth the wait if you are still looking for a console. There are no remarkable changes, but overall the accumulated changes in speed, power consumption, network speed and the like are good refinements. The X Box one S from Microsoft is a very strong contender, and the purist gamer would need to decide on the ultimate path. In the months to come, virtual reality technology for consoles will probably make or break these giants with associated games titles.
Online privacy is a much debated and unresolved topic, however there is also a trend that I am not too sure I like, and this is wearable technology that captures any or all interactions the wearer engages in. The proposed snap chat camera enabled sunglasses are an example of this. I remember the controversy of Google glass, in particular the attack on a wearer in a bar.I wonder if there will be a social etiquette president set much the same as mobile phone use, say in a restaurant? Would there be a social taboo on taking snaps of people unaware of your actions? By comparison, if you see a camera or a camera phone pointed at you, one could always approach the individual, or everyone would know, but commercially available covert cameras?
